Test Automation Technician

Principal Duties/Responsibilities:
· Provides innovative test data solutions to meet evolving requirements while maximizing test repeatability, workflow, and customer safety.
· Collaborates with leadership, Engineers, Analysts, and Technicians on test requirements, results, and means to maintain and improve test automation.
· Sets up and modifies test data, program information, and equipment for specific tests.
· Calculates calibration values used to model for comparison and measurement of test data.
· Monitors computer and testing equipment to detect malfunctions and ensure test reliability.
· Documents tests and provides training for test automation processes and deployment according to Continuous Improvement methods.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, & Behaviors Required:
· Associate’s degree in Computer Field or equivalent experience in a related field
· Knowledge of CanAPE, Concierto, VBA, PV-Wave, Oracle, C# and code preferred
· Experience with data acquisition software
· General IT Troubleshooting background
· Ability to repair communications between equipment and software
· Ability to understand and translate customer requirements into software logic and requirements
· C++ programming experience preferred
· Project planning experience preferred
· Strong communication skills
· Accountability for delivering on commitments/deadlines
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands/fingers to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb, ascend/descend or balance to heights that may require a ladder or lift; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in confined spaces; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. The employee is regularly required to use close vision and color vision. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. Work is typically performed in a factory environment and is usually very loud. In the factory environment, the employee may be exposed to hazardous materials and/or greasy or slippery factory floors.
